SPICI participates in the "Educare in Comune" program

"Educare in Comune” is the development programme promoted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Department for Family Policies, aimed at combating educational poverty and social exclusion of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people, at a time when the COVID-19 health emergency has exacerbated inequalities, vulnerabilities, and socio-economic disparities.
The programme aims to support the birth, development, and implementation of projects aimed at experimenting with and consolidating community welfare models and services, aimed at young people. In particular, the programme provides for interventions in three thematic areas: “Family as a resource”; “Relationship and inclusion”; “Culture, art and environment”.
In collaboration with various Italian municipalities and in partnership with the MANN - National Archaeological Museum of Naples, and with the Association “Casa del Contemporaneo”, our company has contributed to the design of interventions and initiatives aimed at enhancing the development of cognitive, creative, and social potential of children and adolescents, bringing them closer to new digital technologies, in order to promote social inclusion.
With these projects, SPICI strengthens its offering, aiming to make digital culture a means of enhancing the experiential dimension of teaching, favouring a workshop approach in the use of technology, and promoting a culture of digital understood as a true tool for creating cultural, creative, artistic content.
For the Italian municipalities, the creation of dedicated spaces, the “Creative and Digital Education Lab”, will be an opportunity to enhance the digital and creative skills of their communities, starting from the youngest. In particular, with these projects, the aim is to equip each municipality with an experimental playful-creative centre, a LAB capable of engaging students, teachers, and families in a non-conventional way in the use of digital.
Furthermore, each LAB is configured as a potential territorial antenna to be included within the European strategy of the “Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027”, desired by the European Commission to promote high-quality, inclusive, and accessible digital education within the Member States, and which includes the establishment of a Digital Education HUB, aimed at connecting national and regional initiatives and subjects, supporting cross-sector collaboration, and creating new models for the exchange of digital educational content.
