SISMUP is a mobile application designed for real-time seismic monitoring, developed by the seismology research group RISSCLab of the "Ettore Pancini" Department of Physics at the University of Naples Federico II. The application is conceived to receive seismic alerts generated by the PRESTo system (PRobabilistic and Evolutionary early warning SysTem) and to determine the alert level based on the events detected by the ISNet seismic network and the user's geographical location. PRESTo is an open-source software platform for early seismic warning, integrating advanced algorithms for rapid earthquake localization, magnitude estimation, and damage assessment in real-time.
SPICI has completed a full reengineering of SISMUP, migrating the application to the Flutter framework to enhance performance and user experience. This update has optimized the interface and ensured greater application responsiveness. Additionally, new artificial intelligence technologies have been integrated to increase the accuracy of seismic forecasts and provide users with more accurate and timely information. In parallel, SPICI has developed a middleware backend based on the Odoo framework, improving data management and communication between the application and the seismic monitoring servers.
The adoption of Flutter has made the application more versatile and accessible across different platforms, while the integration of artificial intelligence has enhanced the predictive capabilities of the system. These improvements contribute to greater efficiency in seismic monitoring and a reduction in response times in case of seismic events. SISMUP represents a significant advancement in seismic warning technology, offering users a reliable tool for personal safety and seismic risk prevention.
Role of SPICI:
SPICI carried out the reengineering of the SISMUP application using the Flutter framework and developed the middleware backend based on Odoo, integrating artificial intelligence technologies to improve the accuracy of seismic forecasts.
