The project GREENBike MANN EAST-WEST: from art to the sea is an innovative initiative promoted by the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN), aimed at enhancing the connections between the museum and the cultural, scientific, archaeological, and landscape sites of the Neapolitan area through cycle tourism. At the heart of the project is the creation of the mobile application MANN in Bike, developed to guide users in discovering the metropolitan city of Naples and its wonders, while also promoting sustainable mobility.
The app offers three main itineraries, all starting from MANN:
West Itinerary: heads towards the Phlegraean Fields, including stops such as the Bellini Theatre, the Archaeological Park of Cuma, and the Archaeological Museum of the Phlegraean Fields.
East Itinerary: leads towards the Golden Mile, passing through sites such as the Royal Palace of Portici, the Pietrarsa Railway Museum, and the Excavations of Herculaneum.
Sea Itinerary: takes users to the island of Procida, Italian Capital of Culture 2022, exploring places like Marina Grande, Terra Murata, and the Postino beach.
Each route is enriched with geolocated points of interest, each linked to a work of art from MANN, creating a connection between the museum heritage and the surrounding territory. The application provides detailed descriptions of the sites, images, difficulty levels of the routes, and geolocation features to facilitate the users' experience.
Role of SPICI
SPICI S.r.l. played an important role in the technological development of the project, creating the application MANN in Bike in collaboration with Hack The Duck S.r.l. SPICI's main activities included:

App testing and optimization, ensuring high performance and compatibility with different mobile devices.
The project was carried out within the framework of the National Operational Program (PON) “Culture and Development” 2014-2020, with the aim of promoting the enhancement of cultural heritage and sustainable development of the territory.
