On the occasion of the study day dedicated to “𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦 𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘪 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘻𝘻𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘰 𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰 𝘭’𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘻𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴”, organised by the thematic DH section of the BiMA Centre, SPICI srl participated in the discussion on the 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬.

During the meeting, Prof. Daniele Ferraiolo presented the intervention “𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪 𝘥𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪 𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘭’𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘢: 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪 𝘴𝘶 𝘶𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘪 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘻𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘻𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦 𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘪”, illustrating a project developed in collaboration with 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 Officina Digitale di SPICI.

The project explores 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞, opening new methodological perspectives for archaeological research and for the enhancement of historical content. A concrete example of how Digital Humanities can be translated into operational tools to support knowledge.

For SPICI, this field represents a strategic space for integration between scientific research, technological innovation, and cultural enhancement. Through Officina Digitale, we continue to promote projects that place digital technologies at the service of heritage, strengthening the dialogue between universities, institutions, and the local area.

𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲. This is the direction in which we intend to continue working.
