The deadline for applications for the “Artificial Intelligence for Journalism: tools, ethics and experimentation” Workshop has been extended until 08 December 2025. The workshop will be held on 10 and 16 December 2025, at the Technological Laboratories of CTE Napoli, located within the Real Albergo dei Poveri (Piazza Carlo III, no. 1 - Naples).

The initiative is promoted as part of the activities of the House of Emerging Technologies “Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City”, a project led by the Municipality of Naples and funded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, to enhance cultural and creative enterprises that combine creativity, culture, and emerging technologies.

The action aims to inform, raise awareness, and enhance skills on Emerging Technologies among operators of digital and traditional media regarding ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.

The initiative is promoted by SPICI srl in collaboration with Stoà-School of Management and Business Training and with the Order of Journalists of Campania.

The Announcement

The Announcement aims to select 15 companies/entities operating within traditional and digital media, who will have the opportunity to participate free of charge in a workshop on the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the information sector and on promoting a conscious and responsible use of AI in communication and content production processes.

The workshop, lasting a total of two days, will be held on Wednesday 10 and Tuesday 16 December 2025, from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, at the Real Albergo dei Poveri, in Piazza Carlo III no. 1, Naples.

The course is designed to introduce key concepts, practical applications, and ethical implications of Artificial Intelligence in the media world, providing participants with theoretical and practical tools to understand, use and critically and responsibly narrate emerging technologies.

During the two days, conducted in collaboration with experts from Academia, media, Artificial Intelligence, and digital communication, participants will have the opportunity to:

• analyze real use cases of AI in journalism and content production;

• experiment with different AI-based tools and applications;

• explore the technical, ethical, and social aspects related to the impact of AI in information and communication processes.

The initiative aims to promote the dissemination of a conscious digital culture, supporting the transformation of the media sector through the adoption of innovative and responsible practices.

Who can participate

This Announcement is open to operators in the digital and traditional media sector (companies, startups, SMEs, individual enterprises, entities) with a registered office and/or operational headquarters in Italy.

The promoters and organizers of the Workshop reserve the right to request additional documents or information, in addition to those provided during the application phase, useful for assessing participation.
