Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti “Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City”: Call for the selection of Open Innovation Challenges

La Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti “Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City” is a project by the City of Napoli, funded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, aimed at providing businesses with an innovation centre specializing in Metaverse, Web 3.0, Gaming/Gamification, Digital Storytelling, Quantum Computing, and 5G, to develop and test products, processes, services, startups, and new business models in the sector of Cultural and Creative Industries.
For the CTE project, the City of Napoli is the leader of a partnership that includes the Universities of Napoli Federico II and L’Orientale, the Academy of Fine Arts of Napoli, the digital innovation centre Cefriel of the Politecnico di Milano, research and innovation centres MedITech 4.0, Cnr – Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences and CeRICT Scarl, and innovative companies such as Tim, Spicy, and One More Pictures.
THE CALL
The Call is aimed at selecting 5 SMEs and Large Enterprises, from any sector, interested in launching innovation challenges that can be addressed with innovative solutions developed by SMEs/startups/spinoffs belonging to the Cultural and Creative Industries sector, based on the following Emerging Technologies:

THE OPEN INNOVATION PROGRAMME
The Open Innovation Programme of CTE Napoli aims to facilitate the meeting between the demand for innovation expressed by SMEs and Large Enterprises in any sector and the offer of innovative solutions from SMEs/startups/spinoffs belonging to the Cultural and Creative Industries sector, capable of addressing these needs.
In practice, the selection of the 5 innovation challenges launched by SMEs and Large Enterprises is intended to solve problems related to their products, services, production/organizational processes.
Following the identification of the needs of the 5 selected companies, a scouting action will be launched to find startups, spinoffs, SMEs belonging to the Cultural and Creative Industries sector, to find solutions for the needs expressed by the companies.
The final phase consists of a matchmaking action involving a collaborative process between the Companies that launched the challenges and the selected SMEs/startups/spinoffs, aimed at refining/adapting the identified solutions to the specific needs of the proposing companies.
The Programme finally includes the organization of an Innovation Day to present the results.
THE RECIPIENTS
This Call is aimed at selecting 5 SMEs and Large Enterprises, from any sector, interested in launching innovation challenges that can be addressed with innovative solutions developed by SMEs/startups/spinoffs belonging to the Cultural and Creative Industries sector, based on the following Emerging Technologies.
The 5 companies selected through this Call will be supported by CTE Napoli in the identification, experimentation, and adoption of solutions that meet their needs.
TYPE OF SUPPORT
The SMEs and Large Enterprises selected within the context of the present Open Innovation Programme benefit from a service that has a market value of 50,000 euros for each selected challenge. This benefit, in the form of free access to the service, is provided under the “de minimis” regime referred to in EU Regulation 2023/2831 of the European Commission dated 13 December 2023.
DEADLINE AND METHODS OF PARTICIPATION
SMEs and Large Enterprises interested in applying to the Programme must submit a specific application by no later than 30/09/2024 to the following PEC address: ctenapoli.spici@pec.it, with a digital signature by the company's legal representative, or with the handwritten signature of the company's legal representative and attached a valid identity document.
