Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti “Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City”: Call for Open Innovation Solutions – UNITIVA srl

The Call for Open Innovation Solutions, launched as part of the program Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti “Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City”, aims to select a company (SME/Startup/Spinoff) with solutions that address the Open Innovation challenge, launched by the company UNITIVA srl, specialized in supporting companies, institutions, and organizations through the design of innovative and business-functional solutions, based on the use of open source technologies and collaboration with qualified partners.
UNITIVA is one of the 5 companies selected as part of the “Call for Open Innovation Challenges”, launched by the CTE Napoli, interested in proposing open innovation challenges.
The company that will be selected in the context of this Call will have the opportunity to actively participate in the program, as described below, aimed at fostering the match between the challenge launched by UNITIVA and potential solutions that meet its innovation needs, in line with the company's development plans.
THE CALL
This Call aims to select 1 SME/startup/spinoff capable of proposing an innovative solution, based on the use of Emerging Technologies, in response to the Challenge launched by UNITIVA.
The goal is to select companies interested in developing, importing, testing, validating, in collaboration with UNITIVA, systems, products, processes, and innovative technologies capable of meeting its innovation needs.
UNITIVA is a Digital Company based in Naples, specialized in supporting companies, institutions, and organizations in their digital transformation processes and in making the technological choices most suitable for their business, favouring Open Source solutions while ensuring objective and measurable results.
The Challenge proposed by UNITIVA concerns the carbon credit market, experiencing strong growth, driven by the need to respond to increasingly stringent regulations and digital innovation, with an estimated valuation of about one trillion dollars by 2050. In this context, the Challenge proposed by UNITIVA is targeted at innovative startups and SMEs interested in developing advanced solutions to simplify and enhance the collection, analysis, and communication of corporate carbon footprint, integrating emerging technologies and creative approaches.
The aim is to automate the process of measuring greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), according to international standards for Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3, while simultaneously making the experience engaging and useful for the company, thanks to gamification tools and digital storytelling.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The Call is aimed at SMEs, startups, and spin-offs from any sector, national or international, who intend to respond to the Challenge launched by UNITIVA and start a collaboration with the company, with the support of the CTE Napoli team.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The company that will be selected in the context of this Call will access the Open Innovation program
APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND DEADLINE
The SMEs/startups/spin-offs interested in applying to the Program must submit a specific application, by the deadline of 10/03/2025, to the following PEC address: ctenapoli.spici@pec.it with the digital signature of the company's legal representative, or with the autograph signature of the company's legal representative and attached a copy of a valid identity document.
THE OPEN INNOVATION PROGRAM
The Open Innovation Program of CTE Napoli is intended to facilitate the meeting between the innovation demand expressed by SMEs and large companies from any sector and the supply of innovative solutions from SMEs/startups/spinoffs belonging to the Cultural and Creative Industries sector, capable of responding to such needs.
In practice, the selection of the 5 innovation challenges launched by SMEs and large companies to solve issues related to their products, services, production/organizational processes is envisaged. (Concluded Phase)
Following the identification of the needs of the 5 selected companies, a scouting action of startups, spinoffs, SMEs belonging to the Cultural and Creative Industries sector will be started to find solutions to the needs expressed by the companies.
The final phase consists of a matchmaking action which involves a collaborative process between the companies that have launched the challenges and the selected SMEs/startups/spinoffs, aimed at refining/adapting the identified solutions to the specific needs of the proposing companies.
The Program finally includes the organization of an Innovation Day for the presentation of the results.
THE CTE NAPOLI
The Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti “Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City” is a project of the Municipality of Naples, financed by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, which aims to provide companies with an innovation center specializing in Metaverse, Web 3.0, Gaming/Gamification, Digital Storytelling, Quantum Computing, and 5G, to develop and test products, processes, services, startups, and new business models in the sector of Cultural and Creative Industries.
For the CTE project, the Municipality of Naples is the lead of a partnership that includes the Universities of Naples Federico II and L’Orientale, the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, the Digital Innovation Centre Cefriel of the Politecnico di Milano, the innovation and research centers MedITech 4.0, Cnr – Institute of Sciences of Cultural Heritage and CeRICT Scarl, and innovative companies like Tim, Spicy, and One More Pictures.
