House of Emerging Technologies “Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City”: Call for Open Innovation Solutions – LOGICOS srl

The Call for Open Innovation Solutions, launched as part of the Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti “Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City” programme, is aimed at selecting a company (SME/Startup/Spinoff) with solutions that address the Open Innovation challenge, detailed further below, launched by the company LOGICOS srl, an SME specialised in developing advanced IT solutions, with a particular focus on designing customised software with applications in the smart building sector.

LOGICOS is one of the 5 companies selected as part of the “Call for Open Innovation Challenges”, launched by CTE Napoli, interested in proposing open innovation challenges.

The company selected as part of this Call will have the opportunity to actively participate in the programme aimed at facilitating the match between the challenge launched by LOGICOS and potential solutions that meet its innovation needs, consistent with company development plans.

THE CALL

This Call aims to select 1 SME/startup/spinoff capable of proposing an innovative solution, based on the use of Emerging Technologies, in response to the Challenge launched by the company LOGICOS.

The objective is to select companies interested in developing, importing, testing, validating, in collaboration with LOGICOS, innovative systems, products, processes, and technologies capable of meeting its innovation needs.

Logicos is an SME highly specialised in the development and implementation of advanced technological solutions for the B2B sector, with a particular focus on ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The company is distinguished by an integrated approach that combines cross-disciplinary skills, continuous innovation, and a strong commitment to research and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

The challenge proposed by LOGICOS is aimed at startups and SMEs interested in developing innovative gamification solutions based on localisation, with the objective of transforming user experiences in indoor environments such as museums, fairs, and shopping centres into engaging, educational, and personalised experiences. The goal is to go beyond simple interaction by creating immersive experiences that not only stimulate fun but also promote learning and visitor engagement.

A central element of the challenge is the optimisation of tracking and location systems within closed spaces, such as museums and fairs. The proposed technology must allow for determining the exact position of the visitor, for example, relative to a piece of art or a stand, thereby providing accurate and useful information contributing to creating a personalised experience. The proposed solutions can use any tracking technology deemed suitable, but one of the options could be the use of BLE beacons (Bluetooth Low Energy).

RECIPIENTS

The Call is addressed to SMEs, startups, and spinoffs from any sector, national or international, who intend to respond to the Challenge launched by LOGICOS and start a collaboration with the company, with the support of the CTE Napoli team.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

The company selected as part of this Call will access the Open Innovation programme.

APPLICATION MODE AND DEADLINE

SMEs/startups/spinoffs interested in applying to the Programme must submit an appropriate application, by and no later than 10/03/2025, at the following PEC address: ctenapoli.spici@pec.it with the digital signature of the company's legal representative, or with the handwritten signature of the company's legal representative and an attached copy of a valid identity document.

THE OPEN INNOVATION PROGRAMME

The Open Innovation Programme of CTE Napoli aims to facilitate the meeting between the innovation demand expressed by SMEs and Large Companies of any sector and the offering of innovative solutions by SMEs/startups/spinoffs from the Cultural and Creative Industries sector, capable of responding to these needs.

In practice, the selection of the 5 innovation challenges launched by SMEs and Large Companies is expected to solve issues related to their products, services, production/organisational processes. (Completed Phase)

Following the identification of the needs of the 5 selected companies, a scouting action will be initiated for startups, spinoffs, SMEs belonging to the Cultural and Creative Industries sector, to find solutions to the needs expressed by the companies.

The final phase consists of a matchmaking action involving a collaborative process between the Companies that launched the challenges and the selected SMEs/startups/spinoffs, aimed at refining/adapting the identified solutions to the specific needs of the proposing companies.

The Programme finally includes the organisation of an Innovation Day for the presentation of the results.

THE CTE NAPOLI

The Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti “Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City” is a project of the Municipality of Naples, funded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, which aims to provide companies with an innovation centre specialised in Metaverse, Web 3.0, Gaming/Gamification, Digital Storytelling, Quantum Computing and 5G, to develop and test products, processes, services, startups, and new business models in the Cultural and Creative Industries sector.

For the CTE project, the Municipality of Naples is the leader of a partnership that includes the Universities of Naples Federico II and L’Orientale, the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, the Cefriel Digital Innovation Centre of the Polytechnic of Milan, the MedITech 4.0, Cnr – Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences, and CeRICT Scarl research and innovation centres, and innovative companies such as Tim, Spicy, and One More Pictures.
