VulcanicaMente – Dal Talento all’Impresa® is a competition promoted by the Municipality of Naples to enhance talent and support the birth of new business ideas. The initiative is part of the National Metro Plus and Southern Medium Cities 2021–2027 Programme – Priority 1 “Digital Agenda”, fitting into the city policies framework dedicated to youth entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development of the area.
The program is designed to accompany young people, students, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs on a structured journey of entrepreneurial training, one-to-one mentoring, and physical incubation, aimed at building entrepreneurial skills, validating ideas, and developing new business models.
The sixth edition, VulcanicaMente 6, is structured as an operational path divided into several phases: Scouting Days for orientation and team composition; Learning Days, an intensive entrepreneurial training activity dedicated to the design and validation of the business model; Open Day for dialogue with the innovation ecosystem and access to initial rewards; Validation Path focused on the development of the Business Plan; Demo Day for the final presentation of projects; finally, there is the Phasing Out, for project follow-up and post-incubation support.
The best selected ideas can thus access, starting from the Open Day, monetary prizes of up to 6,250 euros and subsequently, contributions of up to 40,000 euros, with a focus on strategic sectors such as the Blue Economy (from sea to space), Green Economy, and Cultural and Creative Industries.
Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione, as the lead partner of the RTI, coordinates the project from a technical-administrative perspective and contributes to scouting, selection, training, and specialized consultancy activities for the startups, also providing its own spaces and laboratories in San Giovanni a Teduccio.
SPICI Srl manages the organization of the program's events, as well as territorial animation, promotion, and communication activities, including website management.
