PROJECT DURATION
The Open Innovation Program of the Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti “InFiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City” is a strategic initiative aimed at fostering the meeting between the demand for innovation – coming from SMEs and large enterprises – and the technological offerings proposed by startups, spin-offs, and SMEs belonging to the Cultural and Creative Industries sector. The program acts as an operational tool to stimulate cross-sector collaboration, cross-fertilisation between productive worlds, and the adoption of Emerging Technologies.
Through specialized services in brokerage, scouting, and matchmaking, the program has supported the identification of innovation needs of the involved companies and promoted the selection of concrete solutions for the improvement of products, services, and processes. In particular, 5 companies were selected through the call “Open Innovation Challenges”, which received customised support valued at 50,000 euros, aimed at adopting innovative solutions based on emerging technologies.
The process was structured in three phases:
Identification of needs by the proposing companies;
Scouting and selection of startups, SMEs, and spin-offs operating in the CCI sector;
Matchmaking and co-designing, to tailor solutions to the specific needs of the companies, encouraging their experimentation and integration into operational contexts.
Role of SPICI:
SPICI Srl – Society for Innovation, Cooperation, and Internationalization – curated the design and operational implementation of the CTE Napoli Open Innovation Program. SPICI managed the entire process of engaging companies, defining challenges, scouting solutions, technical mediation, and supporting the experimentation process with the selected entities.
