On 9 July 2026, SPICI and Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione are organising the Event “Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Manufacturing, Human Capital and Internationalisation”, dedicated to the new alliance between university and business along the Campania-Lombardy axis.

The initiative is born as a moment of confrontation between the academic world, the research system, the production fabric and innovation players, with the aim of delving into the role of Artificial Intelligence in industrial transformation processes, advanced manufacturing, the development of new skills and the internationalisation pathways of businesses.

The event, free of charge and in person, is open to the public and is aimed particularly at SMEs, startups, university professors, researchers, professionals, innovation managers and stakeholders interested in understanding how AI can become a strategic lever for business competitiveness and regional growth.

At the heart of the discussion will be the dialogue between the academic and industrial world, with a particular focus on the connection between Campania and Lombardy: two regions with complementary vocations, skills and supply chains, which can contribute to building new collaboration models between universities, industry, innovation hubs and the production system.

The meeting aims to offer an operational, and not just theoretical, working and discussion space on the topics of AI adoption in industrial contexts, technological transition, the enhancement of human capital and the opening of international markets.

Two round tables to connect research and business

The programme includes two discussion tables.

The Academic Round Table will be dedicated to the contribution of universities and research to the development of skills, technologies and models of knowledge transfer to the production system.

The Industrial Round Table will involve representatives of large companies, SMEs, startups, innovation hubs and banks, with the aim of exploring needs, opportunities and practical conditions for supporting businesses in adopting innovative solutions based on Artificial Intelligence.
