This morning, at the Sala Giunta di Palazzo San Giacomo, the presentation of the measures initiated by the Naples City Council for the economic development of the city, support for entrepreneurship, the social economy and the third sector, innovation, digitalization, and the creation of new job opportunities was held.

The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, and the Councillor for Youth Policies, Labour and Social Policies, Chiara Marciani, who outlined the strategic lines and actions implemented by the Administration to accompany the economic and social transformation of the territory, focusing on skills, innovation, and inclusion.

During the morning, Mariangela Contursi, General Manager of SPICI and Executive Committee member of Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione, participated in the initiative, presenting the project Vulcanicamente 6 – from talent to enterprise, the competition promoted by the Comune di Napoli and operationally managed by SPICI and Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione. The programme is about to start the phase of Learning Days, which will involve 20 teams selected from over 80 applications received, confirming the strong interest and entrepreneurial potential expressed by the territory.

In his speech, Mayor Gaetano Manfredi emphasized how «innovation brings value to territories and represents a fundamental tool for urban transformation», citing Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione as a virtuous example of the rebirth of Naples East. A significant reference was also made to the experience of the Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti di Napoli, which has found its home at the Albergo dei Poveri, now reconfigured as a new technological and cultural hub of the city, enlivened by laboratories, exhibitions, and events dedicated to innovation.

The participation in this moment of institutional dialogue confirms the role of SPICI and Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione as active players in local development processes, capable of operating in synergy with institutions and the territorial ecosystem to promote growth paths, talent development, and sustainable innovation.
