SPICI visiting the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park in the United Arab Emirates

During the SPICI mission in the United Arab Emirates from 17 to 21 October, our team visited the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park.
Founded in 2016 by the Government of the Emirate of Sharjah, the Science and Technology Park hosts multinational companies like Intel, HP, and Nokia.
Located in a free zone, the Park was established to promote research and innovation and to support business activities through collaboration between industry, government, and academia.
Our team was welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Park, Hussain Al Mahmoudi, and the Head of the Innovation Department Mourad Mountassir.
We visited the labs, offices, and R&D centres of the Park, which represents a living laboratory where innovative solutions are tested, including a 3D-printed house, a cable car for freight transport, and a cable car for passenger transport and video games transformed into "reality".
