The 5th edition of the CI-LAM Summer School 2023 on advanced manufacturing concludes

The 5th edition of the China-Italy Laboratory on Advanced Manufacturing has concluded, having moved from Bergamo to Naples after the opening in Bergamo.
From 17th to 21st July, there were 5 days of lessons, workshops, Academy and guided tours for the students, Italian and Chinese, who participated in the Summer School, the training program on advanced manufacturing.
The closing event took place on Friday, 21st July at the Church of San Marcellino and Festo, the venue of the Federico II University of Naples. During the well-attended event, participation diplomas were awarded, and the results of the program were presented.
The meeting, chaired by Dr. Vincenzo Lipardi, President of SPICI srl, was opened by the speech Prof. Giovanni Breglio, Full Professor of Electronics at the University of Naples Federico II and leader of the program.
The speeches were followed by:
Prof. Gianluca D'Urso, Full Professor, University of Bergamo;
Dr. Jason Wang, Associate Professor at Tsinghua University and Founder of the SciTech Automation Alliance;
Prof.ssa Antonia Tulino, Deputy Director of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology;
Dr.ssa Chiara Romano, Head of the Internationalization Division of SPICI;
Dr. Zhang Jindan, Administrative Manager, Electrical Engineering Department, Tsinghua University.
Emphasizing the importance of the event, speeches were made by Prof. Matteo Lorito, Rector of the University Federico II of Naples and Prof. Sergio Cavalieri, Rector of the University of Bergamo.
The event was concluded by Dr.ssa Valeria Fascione, Regional Minister for Innovation, Research and Startups of the Region of Campania.
The Summer School 2023 was an incredible moment of interaction between experts, as well as young people from different countries and cultures, demonstrating how science and technology are powerful tools for building Bridges between different worlds.
We are certain that the knowledge acquired and the connections made during the Summer School will significantly impact the future of these young people.
