The GITEX Technology Week, the main event on technology and innovation in the Middle East, concludes in Dubai

Mariangela Contursi, Chief Operating Officer of SPICI, and Chiara Romano, Head of the Internationalisation and International Cooperation Department, visited Dubai from 17 to 21 October to attend the GITEX Technology Week.
With its 40 previous editions, the GITEX Technology Week has established itself as the leading international event on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in the Middle East.
The 2021 edition attracted major global technology giants such as Huawei, Etisalat, Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, Intel, and Ericsson, along with hundreds of large, medium-sized, and small companies, ministries, and governmental organisations from 140 countries who came to Dubai to meet, conduct business, and be updated on the latest innovations.
An event of colossal proportions at the forefront of digital innovation, an upward race on robotics, cybersecurity, blockchain, augmented reality. It was five intense days of showcase, with a program rich in activities: Smart building, smart city, smart education, smart transportation, smart health.
The Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy, Omar Bin Sultan Al Olama, participated daily in the events, announcing and introducing the entire digital strategy of the United Arab Emirates.
SPICI was one of the four companies selected by the Campania Region to represent the regional ecosystem. It was hosted at the regional stand, along with other innovative entities, where it took part in numerous B2B meetings with dozens of entrepreneurs, investors, government representatives, and experts from the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Nigeria, and other countries. There were many insights, connections, and areas identified for future cooperation.
