The innovation Made in Italy at the semifinals of the World Internet Conference

Sponsored by the National Cyberspace Administration of China and hosted by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, the "Straight to Wuzhen" Global Internet Competition is the special session dedicated to the digital economy of the World Internet Conference. It aims to promote international cooperation and innovation.
On 21st October, the semi-finals took place both offline in the Chinese city of Jiaxing and online with simultaneous live streaming.
27 startups from around the world presented their innovative projects to a panel of investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, and academics.
Smart Healthcare, the Internet and its applications for industry, the consumer market, and public administrations were the main technological focuses of the competition. The key technologies presented during the session included artificial intelligence, blockchain, 5G, Internet of Things (IoT) and big data.
The Italian startup SoftMining reached the semi-finals and showcased its innovative solutions leveraging artificial intelligence in drug design.
