The United States Consul General in Naples, Tracy Roberts-Pounds, visits the new SPICI headquarters

Wednesday, 7 February 2024, the United States Consul General in Naples, Tracy Roberts-Pounds, visited the new headquarters of SPICI srl. The meeting took place in the spaces of the Italian Innovation Factory, the technology hub of Naples recently established in San Giovanni a Teduccio, at Via Ponte dei Granili 24, in the area that used to host the Historical Archive of Enel.
The Consul Tracy Roberts-Pounds was welcomed by Vincenzo Lipardi and Amedeo Manzo, respectively the President and Vice-President of SPICI srl, who accompanied her in the visit of the new Technological Hub, located in the Neapolitan district of San Giovanni a Teduccio.
Among the first stops was the construction site of the International Incubator, where she was received by the President of the Italian Innovation Factory, Fabrizio Monticelli, Mariangela Contursi, General Director of SPICI, and a group of members of the Italian Factory, including Giovanni Lombardi, President of Tecno, Antonio Romano, President of CNS Tech, Francesco Castagna, CEO of Agilae, and Massimo Iaccarino, CEO of EB Mediterranea srl.
The second stop was dedicated to the Co-working Space of the Technology Hub and the 11 Startups selected thanks to the Incubation Programme of the Emerging Technologies House of Naples, a project funded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, promoted by the Municipality of Naples. The Incubation Programme is managed by SPICI with the support of the Italian Innovation Factory.
Following the visit, there was a moment of discussion with the Consul culminating in a symbolic exchange of gifts. In particular, Consul Tracy Roberts-Pounds was presented with a work by the artist Mario Amura, on display from 14 December 2023 to 1 April 2024 with “Napoli Explosion” at the Cellaio in the Royal Wood of Capodimonte.
The President of SPICI, Vincenzo Lipardi, commented: “The visit of Consul Roberts-Pounds represents an important moment of dialogue and collaboration between the United States and Italy in the field of innovation and entrepreneurial development which we are sure will lead to strengthening mutual knowledge and joint initiatives.”
Amedeo Manzo, Vice-President of SPICI and President of the BCC di Napoli, concluded: “The dynamism of Consul Tracy Roberts-Pounds is a sign of interest in the economy and innovative realities of our city, and this represents an encouragement to strengthen cultural and economic relationships and exchanges between our two countries.”
