European Digital Innovation Hub – Heritage Smart Lab Demo Day for Businesses - Call for the presentation of solutions, products, and services to promote the digital transition of Cultural Heritage and the Cultural and Creative Industries

As part of the Digital Europe Programme 2021-2027, the European Commission, together with the EU Member States, has established a network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs). The EDIHs act as catalysts for the dissemination and adoption of advanced digital technologies - particularly Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things, X-Reality, Blockchain, Digital Twin - with the aim of helping businesses and Public Administrations in the digital transformation processes, making them more competitive.
EDIH-Heritage Smart Lab, funded by the European Commission and the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, represents the only Hub in Italy fully focused on the digital transition in the Cultural Heritage and Creative and Cultural Industries sector.
SPICI, as a partner of EDIH-Heritage Smart Lab, is the promoting entity of the Demo Day for Enterprises, a networking event aimed at SMEs to foster digital transition in the Cultural Heritage and Creative and Cultural Industries. Specifically, the Demo Day “Content Revolution” is organized in collaboration with Giffoni Innovation Hub during the 54th edition of the Giffoni Film Festival, on the 26th of July 2024.
The Call for the submission of solutions, products, and services to promote digital transition in the Creative and Cultural Industry
This Call aims to select 10 enterprises, which will be invited to participate in the Demo Day for Enterprises on the theme Content Revolution: Emerging Technologies in Content Development and Entertainment Industry, organized in Giffoni, on Friday 26th July 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, to present their solutions to companies and cultural operators present at the event.
With the goal of combining creativity and new technologies, the event will also be an opportunity to meet with young talents, in a context that celebrates innovation and the future vision of the entertainment sector.
The Demo Day programme is structured as follows:
Presentation of free services for SMEs by EDIH-HSL by Spoke Campano;
Presentation of emerging trends and disruptive technologies that are shaping the future of the Entertainment and Content Industry;
Organization of a demonstration session, with the presentation of innovative solutions, products, and applications by enterprises selected through this Call.
One-to-One meetings for selected enterprises, following this structure:
B2B meetings with companies and operators attending the meeting, interested in exploring and acquiring the solutions presented;
B2Talent meetings, with young talents interested in introducing themselves to participating companies for knowledge and orientation interviews.
This Call is open to enterprises of all sizes (startups, SMEs, Large Enterprises), with innovative solutions (products, services, applications, platforms, systems) already available on the market, based on the application of emerging technologies (particularly Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things, X-Reality, Blockchain, Digital Twin) operating in the Creative and Cultural Industries, with a specific focus for this Demo Day on Content Development and Entertainment (creation, production, and distribution of digital content).
Each applicant enterprise must present only one solution.
Only proposals consistent with the areas of interest and specialization of the EDIH-Heritage SmartLab Hub will be evaluated.
DEADLINE AND APPLICATION SUBMISSION PROCEDURES
