Education on technological innovation at the Military School "Nunziatella"

The first-year students of the Institute spent two days focused on education in technological innovation with SPICI Srl.
Held on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th March 2025, at the Military School Nunziatella, the two days were dedicated to educational activities on technological innovation aimed at the third-year students of the Scientific High School and the first-year students of the Classical High School of the Institute, conducted by SPICI Srl (Society for Innovation, Cooperation, and Internationalisation).
Colonel Alberto Valent, Commander and Headmaster of Nunziatella, emphasized “the importance of this prestigious, historic Military School in increasingly opening up to the territory and its centres of excellence, multiplying its collaborations even with innovative entities that enrich our students' knowledge in STEAM subjects.”
“These educational activities are of great importance to us,” said Vincenzo Lipardi, President of SPICI srl, “because they contribute to spreading the culture of innovation, which is fundamental for the growth of new generations who cannot and should not be mere technology users but must instead fully understand its potential and limits.”

The team of trainers – including Luigi Amodio and Francesca Galasso from the innovative SME SPICI srl and Salvatore Cuomo and Alessandro Bottino, mathematicians from the University of Naples Federico II – guided the young students through a series of activities on Artificial Intelligence and technological innovation.
The first day, dedicated to AI, after a theoretical introduction, saw students learning programming elements in Python, simulating the behaviour of neural networks. During the second day, the students participated in a “hackathon” which led them to simulate the creation of a tech startup.
The Military School ‘Nunziatella’ continues to distinguish itself for its commitment to training future leaders, both military and civilian, with the aim of preparing aware and competent citizens.
