House of Emerging Technologies “Infiniti Mondi”: call for the selection of 10 Startups and/or Spin-offs for the 2nd Cycle of the Incubation Program of CTE Napoli Infiniti Mondi

The House of Emerging Technologies "Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City" is a project of the Municipality of Naples, funded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, aimed at providing businesses with an innovation centre specialising in Metaverse, Web 3.0, Gaming/Gamification, Digital Storytelling, Quantum Computing, and 5G, to develop and test products, processes, services, startups and new business models in the Cultural and Creative Industries sector.

For the CTE project, the Municipality of Naples is the lead partner of a partnership which includes the Universities of Naples Federico II and L'Orientale, the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples - whose young designers created the logo of "Infiniti Mondi" - the Cefriel Digital Innovation Centre of the Polytechnic of Milan, the research and innovation centres MedITech 4.0, CNR - Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences and CeRICT Scarl, and innovative companies like Tim, Spicy and One More Pictures.

The Call for Proposals

The Call for Proposals aims to promote and support startups and university spin-offs operating in the field of Cultural and Creative Industries as envisaged by WP.4 "industrial development and business creation" task 4.1 "Acceleration and incubation program" of the CTE Napoli Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City project CUP B67F23000000008 - FSC 2014-2020.

The selected companies will participate in the second cycle of the Incubation and Acceleration Program, which will be implemented in collaboration with companies, universities, technology districts, public/private research laboratories, credit institutions, investors.

The Program provides entrepreneurial training and guidance services, dedicated mentorship, access to facilities and opportunities offered by CTE Napoli, including coworking spaces and technological labs (Metaverse, Web 3.0, Gaming/Gamification, Digital Storytelling, Quantum Computing, and 5G).

Who can participate

The Call is aimed at the selection of 10 new business ideas in the field of Cultural and Creative Industries, and is intended for already established startups/university spin-offs, or teams intending to establish themselves not later than 30 days after the Program starts, with technological and business ideas focused specifically on Cultural and Creative Industries.

Applications from abroad are also considered eligible, provided they have a registered office and/or operational site in Italy, with demonstrated economic and development interest in the relevant sector within the regional territory. Proposed projects should refer to one or more of the following emerging technologies: Metaverse, Gaming/Gamification, Digital Storytelling, Web3, Quantum Computing, 5G/6G, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, X-reality, Blockchain, IoT, Cybersecurity, NFT, Cloud/Edge computing, Simulation.

Preferably, proposals should target one or more of the following application sectors:

• COMMUNICATION AND NEW MEDIA

• PERFORMING ART, VISUAL ARTS & SHOW BUSINESS

• MUSIC

• CREATIVE DRIVEN SECTORS

Type of support

The services provided to the selected startups and teams under this Incubation Program have a market value of €25,000.00 for each selected project.

Contributions will be provided under the "de minimis" regime as per the EU Regulation 2023/2831 of the European Commission dated 13 December 2023.

Duration

The Incubation Program by CTE Naples will have a duration of 6 months: it will commence in September 2024 and conclude in February 2025. The duration of the Program may be extended and/or varied, which will be communicated to all selected participants.

Interested parties wishing to apply to the Program must submit a specific application by no later than 30/09/2024 to the following PEC address: ctenapoli.spici@pec.it

• with a digital signature of the company's legal representative;

or

• with a handwritten signature of the company's legal representative and attached a copy of the valid identity document.

The Incubation and Acceleration Program is coordinated by Spici srl – Company for Innovation, Cooperation and Internationalization, which will employ the Fabbrica Italiana dell'Innovazione, an incubator specialized in Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) and the Green & Blue Economy, located in Naples, in the San Giovanni a Teduccio district, at Via Ponte dei Granili, 24, near the Technological Pole of the University of Naples Federico II.
