House of Emerging Technologies “Infiniti Mondi”: call for applications for the incubation program

The Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti “Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City” is a project by the Municipality of Naples, funded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, which aims to provide businesses with an innovation centre specialising in Metaverse, Web 3.0, Gaming/Gamification, Digital Storytelling, Quantum Computing, and 5G, to develop and test products, processes, services, startups, and new business models in the sector of Cultural and Creative Industries.
For the CTE project, the Municipality of Naples is the leader of a partnership that includes the Universities of Naples Federico II and L’Orientale, the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples - whose young designers created the “Infiniti Mondi” logo - the Cefriel Digital Innovation Centre of the Politecnico di Milano, research and innovation centres such as MedITech 4.0, Cnr - Institute of Heritage Science and CeRICT Scarl, and innovative companies like Tim, Spicy, and One More Pictures.
The call for proposals
The call aims to promote and support the startup phase and the development of new businesses in the field of Cultural and Creative Industries, through participation in an incubation programme, carried out in partnership with companies, universities, technological districts, public/private research laboratories, credit institutions, and investors.
The programme includes entrepreneurial training and orientation services, dedicated mentoring, access to facilities and opportunities offered by CTE Naples, including coworking spaces and technology labs (Metaverse, Web 3.0, Gaming/Gamification, Digital Storytelling, Quantum Computing, and 5G).
Who can participate
This Call is aimed at selecting a maximum of 10 new business ideas in the field of Cultural and Creative Industries, and is open to already established startups/university spin-offs or teams wishing to establish themselves no later than 30 days from the start of the Programme, with a technological and business idea with a specific focus on Cultural and Creative Industries.
Candidate projects should reference one or more of the following emerging technologies: Metaverse, Gaming/Gamification, Digital Storytelling, Web3, Quantum Computing, 5G/6G, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, X-reality, Blockchain, IoT, Cybersecurity, NFT, Cloud/Edge computing, Simulation, as well as one or more application sectors pertaining to Cultural and Creative Industries, mentioned here for illustrative purposes and not exhaustively:

Financial resources
The services provided to the startups and teams selected within this Incubation Programme have a market value equal to 25,000 euros for each selected project.
Duration
The Incubation programme of the CTE of Naples will have a duration of 6 months: it will start in November 2023 and end in May 2024. The duration of the programme may be extended and/or varied, which will be communicated to all selected participants.

The Incubation and Acceleration programme is coordinated by Spici srl - Società per l’Innovazione, la Cooperazione e l’Internazionalizzazione, which will employ for incubation activities Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione, an incubator specialised in Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) and the Green & Blue Economy, located in Naples, in the San Giovanni a Teduccio district, at via Ponte dei Granili, 24, near the Technology Centre of the University of Naples Federico II.
