ITS ACADEMY BACT - GAMIFICATION & DESIGN COURSE

Overview

A 30-hour training module delivered by SPICI as part of the ITS course "Higher Technical Specialist for Digitalisation in the Cultural and Creative Industry" - Tourism & Art Game Design and Digital Developing stream, promoted by the ITS Academy BACT Foundation within the "NextGen Innovative Tech Working" project. The module, divided into ten training units, combined theory and practice, ranging from the analysis of motivation dynamics and advanced game mechanics to the creation of project work on real-world contexts, adopting design frameworks such as Octalysis and Design Thinking, active teaching methods, and a strong emphasis on collaborative work and prototyping. All groups developed and presented complete projects, several of which are fully replicable in real-life contexts.

To train students in designing inclusive, accessible, and communicable gamified experiences for tourism innovation and the enhancement of cultural heritage.
