Overview

Research and development project focused on the creation of an OCR model (Optical Character Recognition) for recognizing text characters of epigraphs from the Roman and late-antique eras. The activities concern the design of a digital library for use within the DPaaS (Data Product as a Service) infrastructure of the Ministero della Cultura.

Objective

To develop a model for the visual and automatic recognition of text characters in epigraphs from the Roman and late-antique periods.
