EDIH – Heritage Smart Lab: Call for enterprises for the Audit and Technological Orientation service (Open Desk)

The European Digital Innovation Hub - Heritage Smart Lab (EDIH-HSL), with the support of SPICI and a qualified national partnership, confirms its position as a reference point for digital innovation in the sectors of Cultural Heritage and Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI). The Hub, funded by the European Commission and the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, supports the digital transformation of businesses and public administrations by providing advanced services and access to expertise, infrastructures, and innovation tools.
Among the Test Before Invest services, SPICI offers the D.I.A.P. Audit and Technological Orientation service, a unique opportunity for businesses and startups looking to strengthen their competitiveness through the adoption of emerging technologies.
The DIAP service can also be associated with the incentives offered by the Competence Centre MedITech for product or service technological development services.
AUDIT AND TECHNOLOGICAL ORIENTATION SERVICE
The service aims to support businesses through a “tech acceleration” action consisting of an audit and technological and functional guidance, aimed at upgrading and/or enhancing prototypes, products, processes, or services through the use of AI and emerging technologies in general. The objective is to guide businesses on the paths to be undertaken to evolve the digital maturity level of prototypes, products, processes, or services, introducing new applications, technologies, and strategies.
The added value for service beneficiaries includes the following aspects:
Personalised consultancy with an expert team to have a specific digital transition action plan.
Access to advanced technologies and innovative methodologies for digital transition, particularly in AI & machine learning, AR and VR, gaming & gamification, digital storytelling.
Targeted acceleration with a swift and concrete path to achieve objectives.
The Call provides a total of 15 services.
PROVISION MODALITIES
Each service consists of three phases:
Technological and functional audit: an in-depth analysis of the prototype, product, process, or service in relation to current technologies
Strategic orientation: guidance on how to improve or enhance the prototype, product, process, or service using innovative technologies and cutting-edge strategies.
Definition of an evolutionary path: guidance on the following operational steps and the resources required to evolve the prototype, product, process, or service and implement change.
The service will be provided by a team of experts and will be customised based on the specific needs of the product, process, and service, including various meetings, interviews (in person or remotely), or visits to the company headquarters to analyse needs and jointly outline the most suitable solutions.
DELIVERABLE
At the conclusion of the service, a document will be provided that includes:
the AS-IS: a detailed representation of the current state of the prototype, product, process, or service;
the TO-BE: based on the needs expressed by the company, with the identified project solution for digital acceleration to achieve preset objectives and the operational steps to implement it.
The service will be completed within 40 days from the start of activities.
TARGET AUDIENCE AND PARTICIPATION MODALITIES
The service is aimed at startups, SMEs, and large enterprises operating in the sectors of Cultural Heritage and Cultural and Creative Industries and intending to develop or optimise digital solutions to enhance their market presence. The service is free for companies with up to 49 employees under state aid Art.28 GBER.
The call is open until the number of interventions provided in the project is reached, totalling 15 services.
