SPICI is officially a member of ECSITE (European Network of Science Centres and Museums), Europe’s leading network dedicated to the promotion of Science, Technology, and Innovation. This milestone represents a significant step in advancing our mission to promote scientific culture and positions SPICI as a key player in the European ecosystem. 

ECSITE: A Network Connecting Science and Society 

Founded in 1989, ECSITE connects over 300 members across Europe, including science centers, museums, research institutions, and private companies. ECSITE brings together many of the most prestigious organizations in the field of science and technology engagement, all united by the goal of fostering dialogue between science and society. 

The Importance of being an ECSITE Member 

The ECSITE Membership enables SPICI to access an International platform of excellence, where innovators and professionals collaborate to tackle global challenges and create new opportunities. An active participation in ECSITE allows SPICI to contribute in several key areas, including: 

  • Design of interactive exhibitions for Science Centers; 
  • STEAM Education, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics; 
  • Management strategies and International cooperation. 

In their previous professional experiences, Vincenzo Lipardi, Luigi Amodio, and Anne-Marie Bruyas—President, Head of Education, and Head of European Projects at SPICI, respectively—held significant positions within ECSITE, including the Presidency and roles on the Board. This marks their return to a community where they have already made impactful contributions as leaders in numerous initiatives. 

A Warm Welcome from ECSITE 

Bruno Maquart, President of ECSITE and of the Cité des Sciences in Paris, welcomes SPICI to the network, stating:

Joining ECSITE marks an important step for SPICI, solidifying our role as innovation promoters and idea accelerators at a European and International level. By leveraging this network, we will strengthen and expand our impact in the dissemination of Innovation Culture, and contribute to the creation of a more aware, informed, and science-friendly society open to dialogue with technology.
