The third event of the International Acceleration Program of Infiniti Mondi – Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti di Napoli, titled “UAE – Italy Bridge: growth paths toward the United Arab Emirates”, was a great success.

The event, held at the Technological Hub of the Italian Innovation Factory and broadcast live, confirmed the interest in business opportunities between Italy and the UAE.

After the opening remarks by Vincenzo Lipardi, President of SPICI srl, and Valeria Fascione, Regional Councillor for Research, Innovation, and Startups in Campania, H.E. Abdulla Ali Ateeq Obaid Alsubousi, Ambassador of the UAE to Italy, gave a speech during his historic first visit to Southern Italy.

The event, moderated by Dr. Valentina Battista from Materias, featured three roundtables with prominent speakers, including:

  • Plinio Innocenzi, Distinguished Visiting Professor at the United Arab Emirates University;
  • Ernesto Damiani, Acting Dean of the College of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Khalifa University;
  • Flavio Ghiringhelli, Country Manager of Emirates;
  • Antonella Cataldi, Country Manager of Etihad;
  • Massimo Falcioni, Chief Competitiveness Officer at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office;
  • Chiara Romano, Head of Internationalization at SPICI;
  • Federica Feltrin, External Relations at SIMEST Spa;
  • Gennaro Ardolino, CISO at Graded S.p.a.

Amedeo Manzo, President of Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Napoli and Vice President of SPICI, concluded the event, emphasizing the importance for Naples’ SMEs to internationalize while also digitalizing, paying close attention to emerging technologies.
