On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the event “Opportunities and Tools for the Digital Transition of the Public Administration in the Cultural and Creative Sector”, a DemoDay for the Public Administration, will be held at the Giorgio Bernardi Hall of the DaDom Museum of the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station in Naples, as part of the activities of the European Digital Innovation Hub – Heritage Smart Lab.

The event aims to present the following to public sector operators:

  • The services of EDIH – Heritage Smart Lab for the Public Administration;
  • Opportunities, initiatives, and tools for the digital transition in the cultural heritage and creativity sector, in line with the intelligent specialization strategy of the territories;
  • A selection of innovative solutions and applications available in the market.

Participants include:

  • Gaetano Manfredi, Mayor of Naples;
  • Valeria Fascione, Regional Councillor for Research, Innovation, and Startups in Campania;
  • Raffaele Vitulli, Coordinator of EDIH-HSL Basilicata Creativa;
  • Ivo Allegro, CEO of Iniziativa Cube Srl;
  • Angelo Giuliana, Director of MedITech Competence Centre;
  • Vincenzo Lipardi, President of SPICI Srl.

The event will feature an Emerging Technologies Showcase in the field of Cultural Heritage, creativity, and culture. The best companies selected by EDIH will present their products and solutions in the field of digital transformation applied to cultural heritage and the Cultural and Creative Industries.

There will also be a special focus, with the valuable participation of the European Space Agency (EUSPA), on Earth observation tools and technologies. EUSPA, with its experience in managing programs like Copernicus, will offer essential contributions to outlining the most effective strategies for using these innovative technologies to Monitor and Preserve Cultural Heritage.

The companies SPICI Srl, Iniziativa Cube Srl, and Meditech Competence Center 4.0 serve as the Campania Spoke of the European Digital Innovation Hub – Heritage SmartLab, a European Innovation Hub focused on the digital and green transition in the sectors of Cultural Heritage, Culture, Creativity, Tourism enhancement, and other related sectors.

EDIH-Heritage Smart Lab is a Hub funded by the European Commission and the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, coordinated by Cluster Basilicata Creativa, based on a partnership composed of Sviluppo Basilicata, Digital Innovation Hub Basilicata, Cluster Lucano of Aerospace, Cluster Lucano Automotive-Intelligent Factory, Cluster Energia Basilicata, Meditech Competence Center, SPICI srl, and Iniziativa Cube Srl.
