Applications are now open to participate in the China Overseas Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2024.
The China Overseas Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2024 is an annual competition organized by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and local Chinese governments, aimed at creating an international platform where companies, talents, and innovators — both Chinese and international— operating in the scientific-technological field can present their high-tech products and solutions.
Since 2016, the competition has attracted more than 3,000 innovative companies and projects from around the world. The 2024 edition will be initially structured into 13 events organized across different parts of the globe (including Naples, Tokyo, New York, and London), all leading to the final competition, which will be held in China, in the Guangxi province, in mid-July.
The competition in Italy is coordinated by SPICI and the International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN), with support from InnovUp and Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione, and will take place in Naples on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
During the event, each company will present its high-tech project or solution to a panel of experts with a short pitch in English. At the conclusion, the jury will select the finalist companies that will advance to the final competition, where a contribution will be provided to cover travel, accommodation, and board expenses in China.
The competition is open to SMEs, startups, and spin-offs with innovative projects or technologies in one of the following sectors: Future Technologies and Cultural and Creative Industries, Digital Economy, Advanced Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Green & Low-Carbon Emission Economy.
Participating in the China Overseas Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2024 offers numerous opportunities for companies, including the chance to present to a qualified panel of Chinese and international experts; expand their network of contacts with Chinese and international experts, incubators, and investors; gain investment and industrialization opportunities; and lay the foundation for expansion into the Chinese market.
