Mariangela Contursi, Chief Operating Officer of SPICI, and Chiara Romano, Head of the Internationalization and International Cooperation Department of SPICI, went to Dubai from 17 to 21 October to attend GITEX Technology Week.
With its 40 previous editions, GITEX Technology Week has established itself as the leading international event on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in the Middle East.
The 2021 edition attracted global tech giants such as Huawei, Etisalat, Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, Intel and Ericsson, and hundreds of large, medium and small businesses, ministries as well as government organizations from 140 countries who came to Dubai to meet, do business and discover the latest innovation trends in the field of robotics, cybersecurity, blockchain, augmented reality. A show of colossal proportions on the frontier of digital innovation and a rich program of activities on topics such as smart building, smart city, smart education, smart transportation, smart health.
The Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy, Omar Bin Sultan Al Olama, took part in each day of the event, announcing and introducing the entire digital strategy of the United Arab Emirates.
SPICI was one of the four companies selected by the Campania Region to represent the regional ecosystem. It was located at the regional stand, along with other innovative realities, where it participated in numerous b2b meetings with dozens of entrepreneurs, investors, government representatives and experts from the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Nigeria and other countries. Many ideas and connections were shared, laying the ground for future cooperation.
