On 3 September, the Global Internet Competition of “Straight to Wuzhen”, a program for entrepreneurial development and scientific and technological cooperation involving numerous startups and other members of the global innovation ecosystem, was held in Wuzhen, China.
Hosted by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, the program represents an important part of the World Internet Conference, one of the largest annual events dedicated to the Internet and new information technologies which saw the participation of successful entrepreneurs such as Jack Ma from Alibaba, Pony Ma from Tencent, Robin Li from Baidu and Tim Cook from Apple in past editions.
The Global Internet Competition is a one-year program focusing on the digital economy that aims to explore new technologies and business models in this area. It is a key platform for fostering international investment and cooperation on innovative projects between China and global companies.
The program was organized by the Department of Economics and Information Technology of Zhejiang Province, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, and the Internet Information Office of Zhejiang, as well as the Governments of Jiaxing and Tongxiang Municipalities. The participation of Italian startups and experts was coordinated by SPICI.
20 startups from China, Italy, Spain and Switzerland were selected to present their technological solutions in 5 categories: Consumer Internet, Industrial Internet, Artificial Intelligence, Integrated Circuit, and 5G Application.
Experenti, the only participating italian startup, presented its B2B solutions of mixed reality, augmented reality and virtual reality for Industry 4.0.
