About Us

SPICI s.r.l. – Company for Innovation, Cooperation, and Internationalization is an innovative SME born within the technological ecosystem of East Naples, operating at both national and international levels.

Founded in 2019 within the San Giovanni a Teduccio university complex of the University of Naples Federico II, SPICI, together with other industrial and production entities, established the Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione Technology Hub. This hub is located in the former ENEL Historical Archive, which now houses its offices, laboratories, and event spaces.

SPICI is a specialized Open Innovation hub whose primary goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of the public and private production systems in Southern Italy, supporting development and innovation processes in international markets through digital solutions.

Our Areas of Expertise

Founded by a group of managers and experts with a strong background in the innovation sector, SPICI s.r.l. is organized into three main Department:

  • DIGITAL LAB: Focuses on the development of applications, products, and digital systems, while also offering specialized consulting services on digital transformation.
  • EUROPEAN PROJECTS AND INTERNATIONALIZATION: Develops programs for technological and social innovation as well as internationalization, supporting startups and SMEs in accessing and expanding into foreign markets.
  • EDUCATION, TRAINING & SOCIAL INNOVATION: Implements projects, programs, and events centered on the impact of the digital transition within the educational, training, and societal systems.

SPICI is also specialized in emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Business Applications, IoT, Blockchain, Gaming/Gamification, Digital Storytelling, and AR/VR/XR. It collaborates with companies, universities, and public administrations to accelerate the creation of digital solutions and foster the development of innovation ecosystems at both national and international levels.

Our Mission

SPICI’s mission is to contribute to the revitalization of the Italian industrial system by focusing on digital transformation and providing innovative products, applications, and services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Public Administrations.

SPICI operates as an innovation hub, serving as an international accelerator and a center for business attraction, promoting entrepreneurial development, technology transfer, and the internationalization of SMEs, startups, and university spin-offs.

SPICI is also a workshop for the design and development of innovative digital solutions, offering “integrated” technological and consulting services through an open innovation approach to meet the needs of public and private clients on a global scale.

The company is supported by a network of academics, scientists, managers, and internationally renowned innovators who have often anticipated trends in economic and technological fields, as well as by leading international companies in their respective sectors.
